Meet Our Staff


Kelly, Administrative Director

Kelly has been with Champlain Medical since 2014 and continues to enjoy providing our employers and patients with exceptional service.  Kelly holds a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education from Plymouth State University.  She worked per-diem throughout college administratively at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and fell in love with the medical field.  Prior to working at Champlain Medical, Kelly also worked at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Alder Brook Family Health over the last 20 years.  Kelly and her family moved to Connecticut in 2016 when her husband took a teaching position at The Westminster School.  She currently manages Champlain Medical remotely and travels to Vermont throughout the year.  She and her husband also run 2Way North, a lacrosse camp company in Simsbury, Connecticut, a charity which benefits cancer research at Dana-Farber.  She is a dorm parent to 18 high school boys and is the Director of Community Service at Westminster School.  In her free time Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, running and baking.

Anisha, Medical Assistant

Anisha was born and raised in the beautiful State of Vermont.  She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2016 with a degree in Biology.  Since graduating, she has worked as a phlebotomist at the University of Vermont Medical Center and now as a Medical Assistant at Champlain Medical.  She aspires to become a Physician Assistant in the future.  Aside from her passion in medicine Anisha's hobbies include cooking, Bollywood dancing and hiking.

Kaitlyn, Lead Medical Assistant

Kaitlyn was born in New York City and moved to Vermont in 2003.  She is a recent graduate from the University of Vermont and holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience.  Previously, she has worked in a physical therapy clinic and has volunteered countless hours with the University of Vermont's Pediatric Neurology Department, Children's Miracle Network, Prevent Child Abuse Vermont and Make A Wish Vermont.  Kaitlyn would like to go on in medicine in the future as either a Physican Assistant or a Pediatric Neurologist.  Ouside of work and studying, Kaitlyn enjoys cooking, baking, spending time with her family and her four dogs.

Hanna, Medical Assistant

Hanna is also a Native Vermonter.  She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2017 with a degree in Exercise and Movement Science.  Her original career goal was to become a physical therapist, but she has recently realized that her true aspiration is to become a Registered Nurse.  During her undergraduate career, Hanna worked as a PT Aid at a local out-patient physical therapy clinic.  In her free time she enjoys playing and watching sports, boating, enjoying the lake and spending time with her family and friends.

Thalene Bates, Referral Specialist

Originally from Saranac Lake, NY.  Joined the U.S. Navy out of high school. Thalene served 13 years in Naval Intelligence, where she met her Marine Corps husband, Ric. They traveled all over the world, Tennessee, Japan, Hawaii, and California. They have been married 37 years. Upon honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, they returned to Saranac Lake and built a home on the water. She began working for Dr. Josh Schwartzberg in 1991 first in a group practice then as a solo practitioner and now as part of Champlain Medical Urgent Care. Has a great compassion for our patients and has enjoyed many great years in the medical profession. She volunteers at her Church and loves her time with her friends and family and enjoys camping, hiking, golfing, reading and swimming.

Holly Silver, Billing Specialist

Holly is a native to upstate New York and graduated from CVPH radiology school with an associate degree in science, math and technology in 2003.  She started working for Doc Josh in 2006 as a clinical assistant.  Since she began working in his practice she has been trained in medical billing and coding.  She has great attention to detail and love for patients and the medical field.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her young children and husband, cooking, boating and traveling.
