Summer is upon us and many of us are making travel plans. Here are some updates for Covid related travel restrictions.

As of June 14, 2021, more than 80% of eligible Vermonters have received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and Governor Phil Scott has authorized the move to Step 4 of the Vermont Forward Plan, lifting business, gathering, and travel related restrictions, nearly two weeks ahead of schedule.Vermont is fully open!

There are free testing centers and vaccine sites throughout the state. Find them here

There is good news regarding travel within Vermont. Travel no longer requires testing or quarantine. However it is recommended that you do not travel until you are fully vaccinated. Rules vary state by state, so be sure to do your research before traveling. If you are visiting Vermont, it is recommended you carry your vaccination card.

International travel may still involve restrictions, so again, check with your destination country and their guidelines.

The rules on gathering are still somewhat complicated, depending the mix of indoor/outdoor spaces, and percentage of fully vaccinated attendees, etc. For more detailed information, please visit healthvermont.gov.

Finally, the safest way to proceed is to wear masks if there is any risk, and maintain social distancing.
